Cocktail de l’APELC

Chers parents,

Le Bureau est ravi de la bonne participation de la communauté claudélienne à notre cocktail du 21 octobre qui s’est déroulé dans une atmosphère détendue et conviviale.

Nous avons reçu des encouragements et félicitations et aussi de nombreuses suggestions que nous allons étudier et réaliser dans la mesure du possible. Les échanges avec les participants ont été très utiles et motivants pour le Bureau.

Lors de cette soirée, organisée à l’instar d’une Assemblée Générale, nous avons aussi pu soumettre les rapports financiers de l’APELC en vertu de notre statut d’Association.

Un grand merci aux nombreux parents qui ont répondu à notre invitation.

Nous voulons aussi remercier tous les bénévoles qui nous ont aidés pour l'organisation de cette soirée et ceux qui se sont portés volontaires pour nos futurs événements.

The Parent’s Association is delighted at the community participation that took place at our cocktail event held on October 21.  The atmosphere was informal with lots of positive energy.  It was invigorating to see so many new faces.  We received many positive comments from parents that ranged from words of gratitude and encouragement to constructive recommendations for future projects.  We really appreciated the opportunity to exchange ideas that will help improve our school community.  Also at the cocktail, we presented our financial report as part of the AGM segment of the evening and once again appreciated your input on some of the projects that we have worked on over the last year.

 

Thank you for participating, we could not have done without all of you.  A warm felt thanks to our event volunteers who provided babysitting services as well as served our guests throughout the entire event. 

 

We encourage you to continue to send in your ideas and comments to APELC – we are here for you.

 

We are in the midst of capturing all of the suggestions that were left in the “Ideas Corner” during the evening and plan to share all of the ideas and perhaps even some action items with the community in the next Le Bulletin.

Veuillez noter qu'un service de garde sera offert pour les enfants de 3 à 14  ans.


Nous souhaitons démarrer l'année scolaire d'un bon pied en apprenant à (mieux) vous connaître et entendre vos idées. Comme vous le savez, l'APELC a pour mission d'améliorer la qualité de la vie scolaire de tous les membres de la communauté claudélienne : élèves, parents, personnel et bénévoles.


 
De ce fait, cette année nous nous consacrons à la thématique ‘Esprit de communauté’ et espérons vous voir nombreux afin de partager avec vous certaines de nos idées à cet égard. Nous comptons aussi vous présenter notre plan financier et les résultats de l'année 2008-2009, à l’instar d’une Assemblée Générale.

 

Cet évènement est organisé avec l'intention de discuter autour d'un verre et d'échanger sur vos points de vue de ce que pourrait faire l'Association des Parents d'Elèves pour le Lycée.

Our first social event of the year!!


 
Where: Main lobby of the Lycée


When: Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm



Babysitting services will be offered for children from the ages of 3 to 14 years old.


We would like to begin the new school year by getting to know you and by hearing more about your ideas. As you know, the APELC is committed to enhancing the quality of school life for all Lycée members including students, parents, employees and volunteers.


 

This year we are focused on the theme of “Community Spirit” and hope to share some of our ideas with you and present our financial plan and year-end results for 2008-2009. Thus, this event will act as our General Assembly and is organized to discuss your ideas in an informal setting over a cocktail and get your feedback on what a parents' association can do at our Lycée.
